A NEW colleague has joined PR and Marketing firm 32West, as the business expands following the acquisition of new clients.
Journalist and documentary maker Celia Powell has taken up the role of Content Creator at the Cumbria-based company.
Originally from Paris, Celia gained a Master’s degree in Theology at Edinburgh University followed by a Master’s degree in Television Journalism at City University of London.
She said: “Telling stories is my passion, whatever the medium. 32West has some great clients across a diverse range of sectors and I’m really excited about joining the team.
“I’m looking forward to working with existing and new clients to help raise their profile and grow their businesses.”
Celia has worked with a number of television production teams as well as the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS).
Alongside her work in regional media she specialises in documentary film making and has had a film screened at the UK’s major annual event for outdoor enthusiasts, Kendal Mountain Festival. Her short documentary was also nominated for an award.
32West was established in 2018 by James Higgins and since then has grown to represent more than 30 business brands.
Recently, the company has been appointed to represent Carlisle-based pub chain Drouth, Scotland-based building solutions group ECO, high end travel Agency, Travel The Globe and Rachael Bell Wealth Management.
The appointment of Celia takes the number of people in the 32West team to seven.
32West Director James Higgins said: “I am thrilled Celia has joined our team. She comes with great creative enthusiasm and her journalistic background coupled with her knowledge and fresh outlook on media will be an asset we can capitalise on at 32West.
“She will be a great addition to the business.”
