THE fastest-growing PR and marketing company in Cumbria has become the latest category
sponsor for the in-Cumbria business awards.
32West, which was established in May last year and now represents more than 30
businesses, is sponsoring the Best Marketing Strategy category.
It joins eleven other businesses supporting the awards, which will be held at The Halston in
Carlisle on November 14 and hosted by Cathy Newman of Channel 4 News.

James Higgins, founder and one of three directors at 32West, said: “The thing which excites
the team at 32West above all else is celebrating the amazing successes of businesses in
Cumbria and beyond through great storytelling, PR and marketing activity.
“Becoming an in-Cumbria awards sponsor was a natural step for us because the very best of
the county’s businesses - along with their fantastic achievements - are celebrated in
magnificent style.
“It is pertinent, of course, that we are sponsoring the best marketing strategy category,
because that’s very much a part of the world in which we operate.
“Having seen the three finalists, it’s clear there is a wealth of talent in this sector in Cumbria
and I very much look forward to meeting them on the evening.”
The 32West team comprises of directors James Higgins, Frank Stretton, and Jonathan Lee,
along with Senior Account Manager Caroline Barber and Social Media Manager, Amee
Wightman.
The services provided by the team include PR, Content Marketing, Social Media
Management, Media Buying, and business consultancy.
They are based in Ulverston and represent clients across Cumbria, the North West, and
London.
Among the businesses 32West works for are the UK’s biggest home fragrance company,
Wax Lyrical; top legal firm, Cartmell Shepherd; edutech company, The Access Platform; the
Holker Group and global innovation firms including React, Createc and Forth.
They have clients across the nuclear, hospitality, financial, legal, leisure, property, retail and
lifestyle sectors.
Said James: “Our first 16 months in business have been exciting, fast-paced and humbling
in equal measure. We have the absolute pleasure of working with some fantastic businesses
and telling their story in creative ways is a real joy.
“We wish all of the finalists at this year’s awards the very best of luck - and thank in-Cumbria
for showcasing the best of Cumbria's businesses.”
